Adaptive Frequency Control Strategy for PMSG-Based Wind Power Plant Considering Releasable Reserve Power

Wind power plants (WPPs) are required to provide primary frequency regulation services when a high proportion of wind is connected the grid. The reserve turbine generators (WTGs), including rotor kinetic energy and deloading power, determined by its current speed active thus, different levels WTGs will be formed because variable wake effect in WPP. This article proposes an adaptive control strategy considering releasable that can enhance capacity permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG)-based inertial gains controller for PMSGs adjusted adaptively, resting with energy, which function speed. Moreover, PMSG operating at higher release more greater capability. proposed tested using PSCAD/EMTDC simulator. simulation analysis indicates WPP utilized effectively while ensuring their stable operation. Meanwhile, capability would further enhanced.
